Storm Bertha remains alert for storm surge in the Gulf of Mexico

Tropical Storm Bertha remains at risk of a potentially deadly storm surge in sectors of the Gulf of Mexico. This was reported by the United States National Hurricane Center, which warned of coastal flooding in Alabama, Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana.

The agency noted that the storm is moving to the northwest with sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour, while it continues to move over waters of the North Atlantic and the Gulf, RT reported.

He also indicated that the center of the storm this morning was 165 kilometers south-southwest of Panama City and 280 kilometers southeast of Mobile.

The National Hurricane Center estimated a slight strengthening this Tuesday, although it expects a progressive weakening process in the middle of the week.
