Storms leave five dead in Brazil

Five people died in Brazil due to storms and strong winds that began on Tuesday, according to a press release from TeleSUR.
In São Paulo, two drivers died when trees fell on them in Santos and Sorocaba, a fisherman drowned in São Sebastião when his boat capsized and the port closed its operations.
In Rio de Janeiro, two people died when a wall collapsed in Santa Teresa, the winds left several neighborhoods without electricity, the subway stopped working and the planes were diverted to other airports.
The government maintains an emergency group because the rains, lightning and hail continue until Thursday, firefighters answered many calls for fallen trees and collapses, and more gusts of wind are expected for Friday in the south of the country.
