The Minister of Agriculture and Lands, Vladimir Padrino López, held a working meeting with his counterpart from Communes, Ángel Prado, with the objective of strengthening the implementation of the Community Sowing Plan throughout the national territory. This meeting seeks to consolidate joint efforts to increase agricultural production and guarantee the supply of essential items for the basic diet of Venezuelans, optimizing available resources.
“We met with community minister Ángel Prado and his team to strengthen the Community Sowing Plan. Organized popular power is key to adding to the national production of the prioritized items of our people's diet, and the experiences have been successful. The transfer of power to the grassroots promotes true participatory democracy,” said the head of the agricultural portfolio about the importance of this cooperation.
Minister Padrino López emphasized the need to maintain an integrated work structure, stressing that “since @minagricultura_ve is the governing body of agricultural production in the country, both ministries belong to popular power, and they must further synchronize their efforts to continue responding to our food sovereignty in the midst of sanctions that limit our growth.”
Finally, the senior official reaffirmed that the Executive will maintain its constant support to the peasant and community sector to overcome current obstacles. “With the efforts of our communes, we are making strong headway!” he concluded, stressing the conviction to achieve greater food sovereignty for the entire country.
