The spokesman for the Presidency of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Peskov, stated that the process of peace negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine is currently in a “deep pause”, due to the absence of new proposals or initiatives aimed at unlocking dialogue between the parties.
Regarding the international diplomatic agenda, the spokesman clarified that at this time there are no plans or contacts planned between the president of the Federation, Vladimir Putin, and his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
On the other hand, Peskov pointed out that the Russian Armed Forces are continuing to carry out their operational actions aimed at neutralizing and destroying military infrastructure on Ukrainian territory.
The presidential spokesman confirmed that Putin will hold a bilateral meeting on August 29 with the President of Belarus, Alexandr Lukashenko, to review the cooperation agenda and strategic issues in the region.
