The Ministry of Food has distributed more than 100 tons of food in temporary camps set up in Colonia Tovar

More than 100 tons of food has been distributed by the Ministry of Food (MPPAL) in the seven temporary camps located in Colonia Tovar, Tovar municipality in the state of Aragua, as part of the comprehensive deployment to serve the population after the double earthquake of last June 24.

The information was provided by Brian Díaz, territorial director of the MPPAL in the Aragüeña entity, who explained that of the ten temporary camps set up at the regional level, seven are operational in this jurisdiction to provide timely and direct assistance to those who suffered the loss of their homes.

According to a press release, the official stressed that the supply of supplies in the area is maintained continuously thanks to the coordination between the Bolivarian Government and organized communities

“Our priority is to guarantee food security in a direct and constant manner. In Colonia Tovar, we maintain a permanent presence in the seven transitory camps, ensuring that the supply reaches each space in a timely manner,” said Díaz.

To maintain the distribution without any setbacks, the ministerial portfolio installed an operations center at the headquarters of the city of Tovar with food, food and protein from which every day what was used the day before is returned to each camp.
