The second phase of the Venezuela Renace 2026 Sports Games began

‎En the temporary camp of the Edoardo Crema National Educational Unit, in Caracas, began the second phase of the Venezuela Renace 2026 Sports Games with the participation of 250 children, adolescents and older adults.

The program included boxing, mini-athletics, futsal, chess, dominoes, table tennis, basketball and volleyball with differentiated participation according to age groups.

Chess and dominoes concentrated older adults, while children and youth categories were active in group disciplines and individual specialties, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Sport.

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, was present together with the head of the Youth and Sports Cabinet, Richard Betancourt, and the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil.

Cardillo highlighted the scope of the program and noted that its development responds to the instructions of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez. “We are going ahead with the Venezuela Renace games, which were very well received by the 108 temporary camps in La Guaira, Caracas, Miranda and Aragua, the main states affected by the double earthquake on June 24.”

‎Desde the opening of the registration process, on July 29, until the cutoff of August 21, Venezuela Renace counts 5,557 people participating, including athletes, coaches and delegates.

The minister broke down that so far there are 5,335 athletes in action made up of 2,949 men and 2,386 women, accompanied by 157 coaches and 85 delegates.

“The reported records place La Guaira with 2,440 participants, Caracas with 2,404, Miranda with 514 and Aragua with 23, while the registration process is still active in the temporary camps,” stressed the highest authority in the national sport.

With the addition of new intercamp days, the Venezuela Renace 2026 Games are moving towards their regional qualifying phase through a competition that unites and brings solidarity to communities through sports, physical activity and recreation.
