They evaluate alliances with FAO to consolidate the agricultural engine

The Minister of People's Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Vladimir Padrino López, held a strategic meeting with the representative of FAO in the country, Alexis Bonte, to review bilateral cooperation programs aimed at strengthening the national agri-food sector.
During the meeting, both authorities evaluated priority areas such as the national seed system, agricultural health and joint actions for the definitive eradication of foot-and-mouth disease, consolidating alliances for rural development.
In the context of this productive exchange, the holder of the agricultural portfolio highlighted the importance of the sector through a publication on his Telegram channel: “Agriculture is destined to be the great engine that drives the economy in this reborn Venezuela. That was the central vision I expressed today to the representative of FAO in our country, Alexis Bonte.” In addition, both authorities agreed to join forces in terms of technology transfer, efficient water management and mitigation of the impact of the Super Niño phenomenon.
To conclude, this space for institutional dialogue made it possible to draw up new goals aimed at strengthening the path to full food sovereignty in the country. With these actions, the National Executive reaffirms its commitment to promoting sustainable policies that guarantee the well-being of producers and strengthen the productive economy throughout the national territory.
