This Wednesday, local authorities in the Donetsk region reported the death of three civilians after an attack carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) of the Ukrainian armed forces against an apartment building in the city of Górlovka, in the Donbass region.
The mayor of the town, Iván Prijodko, confirmed the number of victims through his official channels, regretting the direct impact on the housing structure. At the same time, members of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the area reported the closure of search and rescue efforts after removing debris at the scene of the accident.
This event is part of an intensification of artillery and drone incursions recorded over the past few days in the east of the region. Gorlovka, a city with more than 200,000 inhabitants controlled by forces allied to Moscow since 2014, has been the recurrent target of peripheral hostilities that have previously affected public transport units and civil infrastructure.
Simultaneously, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the shooting down of a massive swarm of more than 320 Ukrainian drones last night in several border provinces and over the waters of the Black Sea.
For its part, the Kiev military command denounced long-range counterattacks on its territory, claiming to have neutralized nearly a hundred unmanned aircraft.
