Venezuela and China strengthen alliances in earthquake monitoring and prevention

The Minister of Science and Technology, Yván Gil Pinto, held a meeting this Thursday with the delegation of the Seismic Administration of the People's Republic of China, in order to strengthen cooperation between the two nations in the area of earthquake prevention, monitoring and management.

Through his Telegram channel, Minister Gil stated that these actions are being carried out “in conjunction with the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis)”.

During the meeting, Minister Yván Gil said that the Bolivarian Government is working “to strengthen Funvisis's seismological networks, as well as to advance early warning systems and mechanisms for disaster management and administration.”
