Venezuela and Guinea-Bissau review bilateral cooperation agenda

The meeting reaffirms the political will of Venezuela and Guinea-Bissau to consolidate an alliance based on complementarity

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Eldan Domínguez, held a cordial and productive working meeting with the African country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities, Fatumata Jau, with the objective of reviewing the bilateral agenda and strengthening cooperation mechanisms between the two nations.

During the meeting, both authorities exchanged views on issues of common interest, stressing the importance of deepening diplomatic, political and binational cooperation, for the benefit of their peoples and within the framework of the principles of solidarity, mutual respect and South-South cooperation.

Ambassador Domínguez reiterated the willingness of the Venezuelan Government to continue promoting joint initiatives in strategic areas, such as vocational training, agriculture, fishing, education, culture, air transport and technical exchange, contributing to the strengthening of historic ties of friendship between the two countries.

For her part, Foreign Minister Fatumata Jau expressed satisfaction with the excellent state of bilateral relations and expressed her country's interest in continuing to develop cooperation projects that promote sustainable development and the well-being of both nations.

The meeting reaffirms the political will of Venezuela and Guinea-Bissau to consolidate an alliance based on complementarity, permanent dialogue and the construction of a common agenda aimed at development and integration among the peoples of the Global South.
