Venezuela and Namibia strengthen strategic alliance at the 4th International Oil and Gas Conference in Windhoek

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment to Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy and South-South cooperation through the participation of its ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, Magaly Henríquez, at the inauguration of the 4th International Oil & Gas Conference held in Windhoek.

The presence of the Venezuelan diplomatic delegation responds to the fundamental objective of consolidating sovereign energy alliances and promoting shared development projects in the field of hydrocarbons.

During the opening ceremony, the Venezuelan diplomat accompanied the highest authorities of the African country, including the vice-president of Namibia, Lucia Witbooi, and the Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, Modestus Amutse, with whom she addressed the potential of technical integration and investment.

In her opening speech, Vice President Witbooi emphasized that “recent oil discoveries off the coast of Namibia represent a historic opportunity for the country's economic development and for attracting foreign investment.”

Venezuelan participation in this international forum confirms the will of the Bolivarian Government to put its vast energy experience at the service of the peoples of the Global South, promoting coordination schemes that counteract models of transnational exploitation and the blackmail of unilateral coercive measures. This geopolitical orientation seeks to build horizontal alliances based on mutual respect, technological transfer and the just management of natural resources.
