The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Paraguay signed a joint statement this Saturday after the meeting in Caracas with presidents Delcy Rodríguez and Santiago Peña, respectively, to strengthen relations between the two nations.
The signing of the document, in the Salón Sol del Perú in the Miraflores Palace, was carried out by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano; and the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia González.
After the signing, the Venezuelan president dismissed her Paraguayan counterpart, who arrived earlier in the country on an official visit aimed at advancing a new phase in binational relations, in addition to the development of a new road map for joint work.
The meeting of heads of state takes place in a historical context of great challenges for current geopolitics, where Latin American integration and union is vital.
