The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held this Wednesday, in his office in Caracas, a meeting with Giorgio Silli, Secretary General of the International Italian-Latin American Organization (IILA), in order to advance technical cooperation in productive areas.

Through a post on his Telegram channel, the chancellor specified that special emphasis was placed on agricultural production and cocoa, “where we have already made progress”.

During the meeting, “we reviewed collaboration mechanisms, cultural and migratory ties, as well as the opportunities of a common work agenda,” Gil explained.

Last May, in an effort to energize the agenda of technical and economic cooperation, authorities from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry held a strategic meeting with a delegation of experts from the IILA, at which projects aimed at sustainable agricultural development and the preservation of heritage were presented, especially highlighting the potential of the cocoa sector in the South American country.
