The ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Aydan Karamanoglu, projected a substantial increase in trade between the two countries, reaching three billion dollars in the medium term.

During an interview with private media, Karamanoglu said that his Government is also working to strengthen its investments as a strategic point in the South American region.

The diplomat explained that the plan not only contemplates strengthening the local Venezuelan market, but also boosting exports from Venezuela to other destinations in South America, according to a press release from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

He also stressed that Venezuela represents the gateway to the region and reaffirmed the country's key position on the international agenda of Türkiye, stressing that in the last ten years cooperation between the two parties showed sustained growth, a period in which the volume of trade reached the previous figure of one billion dollars.
