Venezuela beats China Taipei and is getting closer to the 2027 World Cup

The women's national baseball team split honors in the doubleheader this Wednesday, August 26, at the qualifier in Tainan, Taiwan, after losing 0-4 to Japan and then beating China Taipei 2-1, leaving it one victory away from securing one of the three places on the way to the final phase of the 2027 World Cup.

In their third match, the Venezuelan ninth reacted and beat Chinese Taipei 2-1 thanks to the solid monticular work of Mariangeli Durán, who only allowed one run in the fourth inning, the product of a three-pointer by Lin-Chia Yu that boosted Huang-Pei Chen.
