The Permanent Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), in New York, presented the advances in territorial planning and seismic-resistant reconstruction strategy following the earthquakes that occurred last June 24 in the country.

During the session of the multilateral body, the Venezuelan delegation reaffirmed that access to sustainable and resilient urban development represents a fundamental right for the well-being of the population.

The National Executive focuses its efforts on the safe reorganization of the habitat through the updating of technical construction standards, the revision of risk maps and intervention in affected areas.

“After the earthquakes that occurred, the Venezuelan Government coordinates land planning plans with technical criteria of seismic resistance and climate resilience,” said the diplomatic representation highlighted on its social networks.
