Venezuela participated in the 2nd Forum on the Future of ASEAN in Vietnam

In line with the principles of Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, through the chargé d'affaires, Estela Quijada , participated in the II Forum on the Future of ASEAN 2026, held recently in the city of Hanoi.
The high-level meeting, organized by the Vietnam Diplomatic Academy, under the slogan “Building together a shared future: peace, prosperity and a people-centered approach”, was installed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Le Minh Hung, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Le Hoai Trung.
The space brought together leaders from the region, including the prime ministers of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and East Timor, together with the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Kao Kim Hourn.
During the working sessions, government authorities, academics and international experts exchanged perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of the block.
The agenda addressed priority issues such as the preservation of regional stability, sustainable development, economic resilience, energy transition, digital transformation and strengthening the central role of ASEAN in the current geopolitical architecture.
The presence of the national delegation in this forum responds to the intention of the Venezuelan State to deepen the ties of friendship and cooperation in areas of mutual interest with this important regional block, promoting the exchange of experiences with the nations of Southeast Asia, and contributing to the construction of a multicentric and multipolar international order, based on mutual respect, solidarity and shared benefit.
