Venezuela participated in the World Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg in Russia

From September 13 to 17, the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia, vibrated with a cultural display full of music, dance and traditional artistic expressions that marked the official start of the International Youth Festival 202 6, an event in which more than 10,000 leaders and delegates from 191 countries participated.

 

Venezuela was present with a delegation of young people from various regions, including deputies, athletes, artists, singers, photographers and students, accompanied by the diplomatic youth of the Venezuelan Embassy in Russia, in follow-up and support of this important event that promotes the integration and cultural dialogue of peoples under the slogan “Pursue your dream”, in favor of a more polycentric and just world.

 

During the opening of the event, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed in his message that “everything will work out for you, the young generation, everything will work out. This is your time”, highlighting the importance of this event in a place where Europe and Asia meet, a city where history and innovation are intertwined, and where ideas were born that transformed the world. 

 

The activity was structured in seven strategic axes centered on the human being as an engine of international transformation.

 

The Venezuelan delegation present actively participated in various activities, standing out for its spirit of integration and collaboration.

 

 

During the meeting, Venezuelan youth, accompanied by Professor Luis Heredia, from the Central University of Venezuela, and the psychologist Simon Pastidas Smith, from the National Sports Institute, exchanged ideas, shared memories and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening intercultural dialogue and international cooperation.

 

This festival is an annual space for artistic expression and a meeting point for socially active young people, professionals and environmentalists, who work for the well-being of the Global South and emerging economies.
