Venezuela presented advances of the Great Mission Back to the Fatherland at the Global Impact Forum 2026

Venezuela presented the scope and experiences of the Great Mission Back to the Homeland during the Global Impact Assessment Forum 2026, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The head of the Great Mission Back to the Homeland, Mervin Maldonado, presented the advances of this Venezuelan public policy aimed at ensuring the voluntary, safe and orderly return of citizens to representatives of the United Nations (UN) Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Office for Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and delegations from various countries.

During the meeting, protocols, investment schemes, statistics, evidence collected and program achievements were evaluated, as part of the guidelines of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.

Maldonado, on his social networks, stressed the importance of valuing the context, public policy, system and protocol, as well as the challenges and human value that underpin this initiative, which reaffirms the country's will to continue strengthening protection and care mechanisms for Venezuelans.

“In addition to receiving recognition for Venezuela's work in this area, we take note of the contributions and practices of other countries and agencies, and at the same time we bring to order our accumulated experience in the Great Mission Back to the Fatherland,” he stressed.
