Venezuela receives 30 tons of humanitarian aid from Hungary

Almost 30 tons of humanitarian aid from Hungary arrived in Venezuela, as part of the show of international solidarity that the country has received since last June 24.


According to the information issued by the Foreign Ministry, the aid was received by the Director General for Europe from the Office of the Deputy Minister for Europe and North America, Nelson Totesaut; the Chargé d'Affaires of the European Union, Pierre-Henri Helleputte; the Ambassador of Hungary, concurrent to Venezuela, Daniel Szécsi; the Chargé d'Affaires of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Carmen Gonsalves and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland, Daniel Gromann.

The purpose of the shipment is to strengthen capacities for immediate response, medical care and humanitarian assistance in areas of the national territory that were affected by the seismic event.


In this regard, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade expressed its deepest gratitude to the member countries of the European Union for this valuable gesture of solidarity, brotherhood and international cooperation.
