Venezuela stands in solidarity with China and Nepal after devastating floods in border regions

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, expressed solidarity with the governments of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal after the floods in border regions of both countries.

Through his social media accounts, the Venezuelan foreign minister expressed condolences to the affected families and expressed the support of the Bolivarian Government in “the hope of finding the missing persons alive.”

In her message, on behalf of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, Plasencia highlighted the desire for “the speedy recovery of communities affected by this terrible tragedy that is affecting the Chinese and Nepalese people”.

This Wednesday, a sudden violent flood hit Nepal and the border territory of Tibet, an autonomous region of China, and has left hundreds dead, in addition to a large number of people missing, including foreigners from 28 countries.
