The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its solidarity with the People of Guyana on
Tuesday, in the face of the shipwreck of the MV Barima
boat, which occurred on July 18, which left 27
dead and more than 80 missing.
“The Bolivarian Government is following the
emergency situation with attention and expresses its sincerest wish for success in the
rescue efforts, allowing for the safe return of those who are still
missing,” the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its solidarity
with the people of Guyana, in the face of the tragic wreck of the MV Barima boat,
on July 18, which has resulted in the loss of human lives and the disappearance of dozens of
passengers, including women and children.
The Bolivarian Government is following the emergency situation with attention and
expresses its sincerest wish for success in the rescue efforts,
allowing for the safe return of those who are still missing.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its firm support to the
Guyanese people, within the framework of the humanist and supportive vocation of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace.
