Venezuela stands in solidarity with Spain and France in the face of damage caused by forest fires

Through a post on social networks, the diplomat pointed out that this fact has “forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes”, which is why “we accompany all the affected communities and express our gratitude to the emergency teams who, with courage and dedication, work tirelessly to protect lives, contain the advance of the fire and assist the population.”

The fires in Spain and France have left more than 250,000 evacuated and thousands of hectares burned, with the communities most affected being Madrid and Avila in Spain, while in France the focus is on Gironde.

The ties between Caracas and Madrid have historically been marked by reciprocal expressions of solidarity, acceptance and mutual support.

Recently, this solidarity has been demonstrated after the double earthquake that shook Venezuela, in which the Spanish response took shape with the sending of humanitarian aid, rescue brigades, logistical support and essential medical supplies.
