Venezuela strengthened spaces for dialogue and cooperation with the Red Cross movement

The National Government, through the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Issues of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade (MPPRE), Joaquín Pérez Ay, held a series of working meetings with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Forum of International Non-Governmental Organizations in Venezuela.
During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on the humanitarian work that these organizations carry out in the nation, with the purpose of strengthening coordination, strategic coordination and permanent dialogue with the institutions of the Venezuelan State, always aligned with national priorities and the general well-being of the people.
In the context of this multilateral agenda, the Venezuelan diplomat expressed his sincere gratitude for the solidarity, constant willingness and support provided by these organizations after the damage caused by the recent seismic event in the country. He also highlighted the valuable contribution that these international actors make to long-term recovery, reconstruction and national development plans from their respective mandates.
