Venezuela strengthens ties with new generations of Angolan diplomats

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Angola received the participants of the 3rd edition of the Training Program for Future Diplomats (TDF), a training initiative promoted by the “Venâncio de Moura” Diplomatic Academy, attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the African nation, on a day aimed at the exchange of knowledge and experiences on the diplomacy, Venezuelan foreign policy and the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between Caracas and Luanda.
The activity, led by the Venezuelan ambassador to Angola, Belén Teresa Orsini Pic, accompanied by the counselor Anyel Zambrano, allowed young professionals linked to international relations to learn about fundamental aspects of the history of Venezuela, the principles that guide its foreign policy and the evolution of relations with Angola and the African continent.
Within the framework of the meeting, a master class was held on Venezuelan foreign policy and bilateral relations, highlighting the vision of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías to deepen ties between Latin America and Africa, and to promote an international agenda based on solidarity, South-South cooperation and the unity of peoples.
In addition, aspects related to the exercise of diplomatic work and the work dynamics of an embassy were addressed, generating a direct exchange with future Angolan foreign service professionals.
As part of the day, the participants toured the exhibition “Chávez in Angola: 20 Years of a Historic Visit”, installed at the headquarters of the Bolivarian Embassy and inaugurated the day before with the participation of members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Luanda, representatives of associations and friends from Venezuela.
The exhibition allowed young professionals to approach the historical dimension of Commander Chávez's visit to Angola, an event that contributed to the strengthening of ties between Venezuela and Africa, and reflected their vision of building bridges of cooperation and solidarity between the peoples of the South.
In this way, the activity transcended the academic field to become a space for public diplomacy and intergenerational encounter.
The meeting reaffirmed the willingness of the Bolivarian Embassy to continue strengthening its ties with Angolan institutions, particularly with the “Venâncio de Moura” Diplomatic Academy, and to promote spaces for formation and exchange that contribute to mutual knowledge and to the continuity of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The participation of future Angolan diplomats represents, in this sense, an opportunity to project to the new generations the historical ties that unite Venezuela and Angola, and to continue building, through knowledge and cooperation, bridges between the peoples of the South.
