Venezuela strengthens ties with the East African Community after the presentation of Cabinet Letters

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Moravia Peralta, presented her Cabinet Letters as Permanent Representative to the East African Community (CAO), at an official event held at the organization's headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.

The Venezuelan diplomat was received by the organization's general secretary, Stephen Patrick Mbundi.

Both authorities held a working meeting focused on the current political situation, commercial exchange and the promotion of international cooperation.

During the hearing, Ambassador Peralta transmitted a message of institutional stability, stressing that Venezuela is moving in peace and with the full functioning of its powers for national development.

He also stressed the strategic importance of this region of the African continent for the South American country, reaffirming that South-South cooperation must be consolidated as the fundamental engine for the well-being of peoples.

For his part, Secretary General Stephen Patrick Mbundi expressed the regional bloc's great interest in interregional cooperation. In this regard, he urged the promotion of a short-term technical and diplomatic approach for the implementation of projects for mutual benefit.
