Venezuela thanks Mexico for its assistance after the earthquake of June 24

Venezuela expressed its appreciation to the Government of Mexico and the Mexican people for the support provided after the earthquake of June 24, as reported by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia,

Plasencia said that he held a telephone call with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States, Roberto Velasco, for which he reiterated the gratitude of the Venezuelan people and Government to President Claudia Shein Baumy to Mexico for the assistance sent after the earthquake.

“I reiterated the gratitude of our people and Government, expressed by President Delcy Rodríguez, to the Government of President Claudia Sheinbaum and to all the people of Mexico, for the sensitive response and assistance to our population after the serious earthquake of June 24,” he said.

Plasencia stressed that both governments agree on the need to advance a joint agenda that consolidates cooperation and the historical relationship between the two nations. “We agree on the importance of deepening rapprochement and cooperation in all spheres between Mexico and Venezuela, as well as the historic bonds of brotherhood between our peoples,” he said.
