Venezuela was crowned in the women's Pan-American youth billiards tournament in Panama

The Venezuelan billiards delegation had an outstanding performance in the XII Pan-American Youth 9 Ball Championship (B9) Panama 2026, held from June 4 to 6 at the Nelson Billiards Club, winning the gold medal for Albany González and the bronze medal with Verónica López.
The Venezuelan Albany González was proclaimed Pan-American champion after an impeccable performance throughout the tournament, ending her participation with three consecutive victories, accumulating 15 games won and just four lost, for an effectiveness percentage of 79%.
In the qualifying round, González defeated Guatemalan Sofía Moreno 5-1 to advance with authority to the semifinals, and then beat Panamanian Rachelly Espinoza 5-0, ensuring her presence in the grand final.
In the decisive match, the Venezuelan beat the Guatemalan Astrid Santos with a score of 5-3, a result that gave her the women's youth continental title of Ball 9.
Third place
For her part, Verónica López also contributed to Venezuelan success by winning the bronze medal, advancing from the repechage table after decisively beating Sofía Moreno 5-0 in the losers classification round.
He later reached the semifinals, where he lost to Guatemalan Astrid Santos 5-1, a result that allowed him to share third place in the championship.
The final classification left Venezuela at the top of the podium with Albany González, followed by Guatemalan Astrid Santos Santiago with the silver medal, while Verónica López and Panamanian Rachelly Espinoza shared the bronze medal.
