Venezuelan Ambassador meets with president of the Dakar Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

As part of the strengthening of trade relations with Senegal, a working meeting took place between the Dakar Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIAD) and the Venezuelan Embassy.

The president of the CCIAD, Addoulaye Sow, together with his team of technical advisors, received in audience the Venezuelan ambassador to Senegal, Regzeida González Herrera, who thanked this meeting and conveyed the cordial greetings of the national Government, led by President Delcy Rodríguez and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González.

In this regard, the ambassador explained the high interest in the reactivation of Venezuela's trade with Senegal, after the mandate to unify the International Trade sector with that of Foreign Relations.

He stated that Senegal is considered to be of great value for this exchange, due to its affinities with Venezuela, particularly in traditional and non-traditional sectors, as well as in the field of academic training in the areas of medicine and oil, among others.

This meeting was characterized by a warm and highly professional environment between the two teams, expressing their mutual interest in making this meeting the first of a joint effort that will bear fruit for the benefit of both peoples.

In this regard, the president of the CCIAD presented the diplomatic representative with a plaque as a sign of friendship and interest in working together. For her part, the Head of Mission delivered the Draft Cooperation Agreement between Senegal and Venezuela, received with great interest and enthusiasm on the part of President Sow and his team.

Ambassador González also thanked Senegal for its solidarity on the occasion of the two consecutive earthquakes of June 24 and reported on the state of the recovery undertaken by the national government.
