The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia, held a telephone conversation this Wednesday with his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, to exchange actions related to housing construction and the care of victims after the double earthquake of last June 24 in Venezuela.

“We reiterate the gratitude of our people and Government for the sensitive assistance provided by Brazil in the context of the double earthquake of June 24, 2026. We also exchanged about the actions we have been carrying out for housing construction and care for victims,” Plasencia explained in his account on the social network X.

Both foreign ministers agreed on the “importance of making progress in the exchange of experiences in the training of our diplomatic officials”.

In addition, in the framework of the merger of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry with the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Vieira “offered to share the work done from Itamaraty, considering the important Brazilian experience in diplomatic and commercial matters from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency.”

Finally, Foreign Minister Plasencia urged his Brazilian counterpart to schedule an upcoming visit to Venezuela to “advance a binational road map to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite us.”
