Venezuelan authorities thank Vietnam's humanitarian mission that participated in rescues

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Yván Gil, dismissed 124 rescuers from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam this Thursday at the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, after carrying out an 11-day humanitarian mission in rescue operations carried out in areas devastated by the two earthquakes that occurred last June 24.

Accompanied by the Vietnam ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, he thanked, on behalf of President Delcy Rodríguez, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, its people, its Secretary General and President, Tô Lâm; and its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Le Hoai Trung, who immediately mobilized after the earthquakes to send humanitarian aid to Venezuela.

“Thank you Ambassador Vu Trung My, to the people of Vietnam, we are still together. We are going to new stages, new challenges. Vietnam and Venezuela always together,” said Minister Gil during the farewell message from the Vietnamese delegation.

For his part, Ambassador Vu Trung My, reiterated on behalf of the Communist Party of Vietnam, its Government and people, a supportive and friendly greeting, expressing his deepest condolences for the great human and material losses suffered by Venezuela in the devastating earthquakes.

“We are convinced that unity is strength, Venezuelans know how to overcome this difficulty and are going to build a prosperous and secure Venezuela,” he said.

The Asian diplomat stressed that the Government and the Communist Party of Vietnam reaffirm their commitment to brotherhood and solidarity with the people and Government of Venezuela, after the successful completion of the humanitarian mission.
