Venezuelan fencing completed its preparation in Hong Kong and is heading to the CAC

The national fencing team successfully completed its final stage of preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games, after participating in the Absolute World Championship held in Hong Kong, China. The delegation had an outstanding representation in the men's sword category, led by experienced Olympians Francisco and Jesús Limardo together with Gabriel Lugo, seeking to score key points to climb positions in the global ranking.

For its part, the women's sword team, made up of Lizze Asís, Eliana Lugo, Betyumil Posada and Clarismar Farías, reaffirmed its level after its award-winning performance in the past Bolivarian Games. In addition, the national representation showed off the strength of its sabre teams.

Eliecer Romero, Félix Quintero, Simón Durán and Marcel Medina stood out in the men's category, while the women's category included Olympian Katherine Paredes, Yesimar Aponte and Andrea Moros, thus consolidating a high-performance team backed by their recent continental victories.
