Vice President of the Gambia highlights sovereign equality and interdependence at the UN

The Vice President of the Republic of the Gambia, Muhammad Jallow, highlighted the role of the United Nations during his speech at the General Assembly, valuing the organization as a fundamental space for an equitable encounter between nations.

In this regard, the senior official asserted that “few institutions embody the principle of sovereign equality as does the United Nations assembly so palpably”.

Jallow also emphasized the importance of multilateral dialogue, mentioning that “the United Nations General Assembly also reminds them of the simple truth that differences are real, but so is their interdependence.”

The statement is part of the debates at the international diplomatic event, where global leaders address the main geopolitical challenges and the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation.
