Yaracuy State strengthens its agricultural industry

The 67th edition of the May Fairs in Yaracuy exposed the high level of livestock genetics in the western entity, in addition to the strengthening registered by the agricultural industry, as a necessary element to project self-sustainable production.
On the third day of the event, the Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León, highlighted the participation of six states with specimens of the Cebuina cattle ranch, where Barinas, Guárico and Yaracuy were the champions. The presence of sheep, goats and horses was also highlighted. The high-level fair had international judges who recognized Yaracuy's potential.
This year, the May Fairs had more than 120 participants, as well as machinery and supplies for the agro-industry. León also mentioned the economic agenda for Yaracuy, which includes the recovery of the sugar industry and the Comprehensive Plan for Agricultural Renewal with 7,500 hectares of corn, in addition to the promotion, citrus projects are also being promoted.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, we are present at this agricultural exhibition, which this year demonstrates the great agro-productive potential that has been growing with the effort and joint work between producers, the Bolivarian Government and private companies, together with the implementation of novel methods and the technology necessary to obtain important results in this prioritized area within the economic recovery in the country,” said the minister of agriculture.
