Yemeni forces confirm the shooting down of a Saudi F-15 warplane in Ma'rib

The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the shooting down of an F-15 warplane belonging to the Saudi Arabian military forces over the province of Ma'rib, through the impact of a domestically made sure-to-air missile.

According to the official report, the interception occurred while the aircraft was carrying out hostile operations in the area. Subsequently, Yemeni air defense systems detected and intercepted other F-15 and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters that were trying to locate the wreckage of the wrecked ship, forcing them to leave the sector's airspace.

For his part, the spokesman for the Ansar Allah movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, defined the maneuver as a severe setback for Saudi defensive infrastructure. He also reaffirmed that Yemeni units will keep their operations focused on military bases and strategic oil installations in response to continued air attacks and incursions into their territory.
