Foreign Minister of Trinidad and Tobago pays official visit to Caracas

The Chancellor will carry out a work agenda aimed at strengthening channels of dialogue between the two nations

The Deputy Minister for the Caribbean of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Raúl Li Causi, received this Thursday, at the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport in La Guaira, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Sean Sobers, who will carry out a work agenda aimed at strengthening channels of dialogue between the two nations.

The Caribbean delegation is also made up of Randall Karim, permanent secretary of the Foreign Ministry and head of the Foreign Service, as well as Claire de Bourg and Christopher Thomas, head and officer of the Americas Division, respectively.

During his stay in Caracas, the Caribbean foreign minister will hold meetings with authorities of the Bolivarian Government focused on strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation in areas of common interest.

On August 14, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, held a telephone conversation with his Trinidadian counterpart, in which they agreed on the interest of advancing an agenda of mutual benefit and good neighbourliness between the two countries.
