The national executive held a strategic meeting with authorities from the International Federation of Red Cross Societies (IFRC) and the Venezuelan Red Cross. The meeting made it possible to recognize the valuable deployment of humanitarian aid provided to the country after the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.
For their part, the First Deputy Minister, Oliver Blanco, and the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Issues, Joaquín Pérez Ay, led the official delegation together with Loyce Pace, regional director for the Americas of the IFRC, and Simón Pestano. In addition, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry explained that the dialogue facilitated inter-institutional coordination to consolidate the transition to a sustainable and resilient recovery.
In this regard, the Venezuela Renace Plan will guide the next phases of joint cooperation under strict humanitarian principles and international solidarity. Finally, the authorities reiterated their permanent commitment to strengthening comprehensive risk management to ensure the general well-being of the people.
