Nueva Esparta will have its first rescue and marine fauna center

In order to move towards sustainable tourism and ecological development, the state of Nueva Esparta will have its first rescue and marine fauna center in the Taguantar sector, Díaz municipality.

The governor of the entity, Marisel Velásquez, formalized the authorization to occupy territory for the execution of the “Waterland Rescue, Rehabilitation and Shelter Center” project.

“It is a projection from a tourist point of view for Margarita Island (...) this will generate direct and indirect jobs and that is extremely important for our beloved people,” he emphasized.

This important conservation project of 40,000 m² is part of an alliance between the Bolivarian Government, private companies and the endorsement of the communes, which will have educational and research spaces for the protection of more than 160 marine animals.
