President (E) Rodríguez: We want to be an energy power that produces oil and exports gas

This Saturday, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, delved into the terms of complementarity that underpin the bilateral energy agreement with the United States (USA), a mechanism aimed at energizing the national oil industry and contributing to the balance of the international market.

“We contribute to energy security in the hemisphere and contribute to a more balanced and stable international energy market. This agreement is based on a very simple premise, each party provides what it can do best,” he said and said that with the planned development, the country will position itself as an energy power in the world.

Regarding the contribution of each of the nations involved, Rodríguez argued that "Venezuela provides oil, its industry and the experience of its workers for more than 100 years, while the United States provides capital and technology necessary to recover and develop those assets.”

The president in charge pointed out the growth opportunities that this alliance will generate for the economy. “In exchange, Venezuela receives production, employment, investment in infrastructure, higher revenues for the State, productive chains for the national industry, the benefits are lost sight of.”
