Venezuela received the French Association of Earthquake Engineering

Specialists from the French Association of Earthquake Engineering arrived in Venezuela to deepen post-seismic research and evaluation, following the earthquake of last June 24.

The delegation was received by the president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés.

The exchange will strengthen national capacities in structural evaluation and the design of resilient solutions, within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan, which promotes the recovery of damaged infrastructure.

The association, which has 50 international missions and has nearly 500 active members, will study the effects of the earthquake from the technical, scientific and academic spheres, with the aim of cooperating in the research necessary for the reconstruction of the country.
