To protect the health of indigenous peoples in Venezuelan territory, comprehensive medical operations were deployed in the states of Anzoátegui and Bolívar.
Specifically, in the state of Anzoátegui, a care day was set up in a Warao indigenous community, located in the San Cristóbal parish of the Simón Bolívar municipality.
During the operation, specialized personnel offered general medicine and pediatric care consultations to the inhabitants of the sector. In addition, the authorities provided free delivery of essential medicines to ensure the timely treatment of the population.
Meanwhile, in the state of Bolívar, a comprehensive vaccination day was held for the Kariña indigenous communities of Pozo Oscura and San Marcos, located in the Tumremo parish of the Sifontes municipality.
During the operation, the specialized staff of the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Hospital administered the corresponding doses to children and adults. This medical intervention made it possible to complete the immunization schedules of the local population and to prevent the emergence of communicable diseases in the region.
