This Saturday, August 15, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced new measures to simplify tax procedures and advance the modernization, automation and digitalization of processes, after a meeting with the Administrative and Digital Government Sectorial Vice President, Anabel Pereira, and the superintendent of SENIAT, Román Maniglia.

Rodríguez ordered the agencies of the National, regional and local Executive to eliminate the requirement for the tax bill, while reiterating that the Tax Information Register (RIF) will remain valid and must not be submitted expired, except when there are changes related to the tax address, among other taxpayer information.

“The billboard is over,” said the president, who urged governorates and mayors to avoid requesting this document and other unnecessary requirements that could generate more paperwork for merchants and citizens.

He also reported that soon the National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT) and the Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries (SAREN) will be interconnected, so that the procedures carried out in the latter system can be automatically incorporated into tax records, as part of the simplification process.

“We are moving towards the process of simplifying procedures and eliminating what is not necessary, we are going to resolve quickly to make life easier for our Venezuelan brothers,” Rodríguez said.

For his part, Maniglia stressed that the measures promoted by the National Executive will favor merchants and businessmen, representing a support mechanism for small, medium and large productive sectors.
