Faced with the customary file of fraud used by the opposition in every electoral process, the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, called on the revolutionary forces to continue working for the welfare of the people when they were victorious in the recall referendum of 2004, which proved reaffirmative.
“Well, we, I repeat, and this is a line of work for all those who follow me, for all the officials of the national power, let's continue the march, there they are going to report fraud, I don't know where it will be, to the White House, there they won't even receive them, I imagine,” said Commander Chávez on August 22, 2004.
He urged us to follow “the path, working for the economy, for society, for true serious and honest politics. If they don't recognize the government, if they don't recognize the National Electoral Council, they don't recognize the State, the institutions (...) what's left is for them to take a mountain, then, to be consistent with their behavior,” he emphasized.
