The leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, urged deputies of the National Assembly (AN) to defend the Constitution through a law that prevents imperial funding to the right.

“How are we going to allow political parties, opposition parties and figures of the counterrevolution to continue to be financed by millions and millions of dollars from the Yankee empire and go around using their full freedom to abuse and violate our Constitution?” , he questioned.

In this regard, he called for the creation of a severe law to prevent imperial funding, since “that is the way we must respond to the imperial threat”.

Commander Hugo Chávez, in an energetic way, assured that from the revolutionary ranks they must “adapt positions, consolidate the pace and consolidate Bolivarian unity,” he said and added that “a government more on the left and a much more radically revolutionary Armed Force, on the side of the People” is necessary.
