The Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, denounced from the Miraflores Palace that the withdrawal of a minority group of political parties from the electoral contest is not an isolated action, but rather the first step in a strategy to destabilize the country and delegitimize State institutions.

The national president directly pointed to traditional political organizations as responsible for this maneuver. “Of course, apparently this minority group of political parties, well, all of them with a long history, especially the Democratic Action party, the Copei party, and Pacto de Punto Fijo, who from this same building badly governed, looted and allowed the looting of the country from 1958 to 1998, four decades of national collapse and surrender of the country, are themselves”, whipped.

Chávez explained that the decision of these political awnings responds to a “hidden agenda” that seeks to reissue scenarios from the recent past. “At first glance it doesn't seem to be understood, but in the end it's the dagger up the sleeve here, it's the hidden letter, or as some people also say, the hidden agenda, the coup, well, the first step in the direction of a process to try to destabilize the country, delegitimizing institutions, the Constitution, the Law, ignoring the Venezuelan people, the legitimately constituted authorities, as they say, a new coup adventure”, he warned.
