Commander Chávez to the opposition: They will never return, forget about it!

On January 25, 2004, Commander Hugo Chávez Frías reaffirmed to the opposition sectors that they will never govern Venezuela again, “forget, here the People came to stay, here came the Revolution to stay”.

In this regard, during his Aló Presidente No. 179, he called on the opposition leadership not to succumb to their desperation “which has already led them on previous occasions to acts of violence, to break with the Constitution”.

“That they are not going to try to stray from constitutional paths again, because if they do, here we will be standing waiting for them to give them the new lesson that we will give them, if they try to do it, with a good understanding a few words,” he said.

In addition, he warned the People to be attentive “to the actions and statements of the leaders of this divided and diminished counterrevolutionary opposition, of the counterrevolution”.
