Corps of engineers evaluates schools and educational infrastructure in Ocumare de la Costa after a double earthquake

In an effort coordinated by the regional and municipal executive, a specialized team of engineers exhaustively inspects the educational institutions of Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, Aragua, after the damage caused by the seismic double recorded on June 24.

According to a press release from the mayor's office of this coastal town, the technical evaluation commission carries out the verification of the structural integrity of physical school plants, with the objective of determining the current conditions of the facilities and ensuring adequate and safe spaces for the student community for the beginning of the school year.

In addition to the damage assessment, the commissions analyze alternative spaces to verify the security and infrastructure required for temporary conditioning, thus guaranteeing the right to education of coastal children and young people in a continuous and safe manner.

The final technical report will define the approach plan, priority repairs and contingency adjustment for the benefit of the municipality's education sector.
