On June 29, 1821, the Liberator Simon Bolivar arrived in triumph in Caracas, five days after the victory of the Battle of Carabobo against the royalists.

After 7 years of not being in his hometown, El Libertador united with the people of Caracas full of joy for the victory that sealed the defeat of the Spanish yoke.

The triumphant entry of Bolivar into Caracas shows the Patriot Army's control of power, as the Realist Army was trapped in Maracaibo and Puerto Cabello.

In addition, it meant a great geopolitical strategy of the Father of the Fatherland, with a vision that goes much further when he undertook the campaign for the liberation of the South, the Ayacucho and Pichincha Battles, the consolidation of the Bolivarian emancipatory project.
