At the Central Thermoelectric Plant, located in the state of Carabobo, an inspection was carried out of the hydraulic and geotechnical protection works in the seawater outlet channel.
During the visit by the sector vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, he verified an overall improvement of 94% in this strategic infrastructure aimed at ensuring the operational stability of the energy complex and protecting coastal land against erosion.
During the on-site evaluation, five key phases were completed, such as the diversion of seawater flow, the movement of earth with slope profiling, the placement of anchored bags for the settlement of the base, the reinforcement and waterproofing of the structure and the compacted filling for the final enclosure of the land.
Currently, the work focuses on embedding rainwater pipes and the construction of hydraulic caissons, a phase that reaches 90% of execution.
