- In May 1963, North Vietnamese militiamen were exploring the area of Hanoi bombed by US aircraft, where they found a plane shot down in the rubble. Beyond the trees was guarded by a pilot entangled in a tree from his parachute. He was captured and brought to trial.
- The Vietnamese militia, the Vietcong, that is, the people in arms, by that date had managed to shoot down 479 planes, according to Pentagon sources. According to Hanoi, the number of downed planes totaled 1,700 and 200 of their pilots had been captured.
- The official report of the United States considered 211 of its marines dead and 1874 injured, counting 2,675 Vietnamese dead as a result of the bombing with Napalm, the vast majority of them civilians.
- Thus, the marines wrapped in metal boxes and flags began to parade, who, in procession, mourned several thousand American homes.
- This was a harbinger of the shameful defeat that was under way. The United States thus began to dig its own grave as a free and democratic nation.
- President John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) had ordered air strikes in retaliation for refusing to recognize a puppet government imposed by him.
- Massive bombings of Hanoi and all of North Vietnam, not to mention, among their calculations, that the Ho Chi Minh militias had prepared a cordial welcome for him.
- The journalist of LIFE magazine had no choice but to publish the photo and report the “bold advances and assaults carried out by the Viet Cong”. This brought the American monster to its knees. Textually entitled: “THE US FACES A DISTRESSING DECISION — The Tragic Conflict”. He later reported: “The number of American deaths is increasing, at the same time as pressure on Washington so that the government seeks a solution to the conflict as soon as possible.”
- Finally, before JFK executed the withdrawal of troops from Vietnam and proceeded to sign a peace agreement, he was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, on November 23, 1963.
- It was certainly executed on commission, but beyond that, it was a real coup d'etat sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the military industrial apparatus to continue the war in Vietnam.
- This does not exempt him from responsibility to history for committing war crimes or crimes against humanity, for having ordered the bombing with Napalm against peasant populations.
- Hundreds of thousands of innocent children, women and the elderly died during this administration.
